  1. One introductory paragraph explaining and defining your caste as it relates to Hinduism, the other castes, and the larger society.
  2. The journal should have one entry for each day of the week. (7 total). Each entry should be at least two paragraphs. Remember, this is where you should be creative. You should constantly connect your Hindu life with your daily life.
  3. Your Works Cited (bibliography) page and note cards should be attached as two separate documents to the end of your journal. Put the note cards behind the Works Cited page. Here is how to print:
    1. Works Cited: a) open the Caste list in Noodle Tools. b) Click Print. c) Don't change the formatting options and click Export and Print. d) If it doesn't automatically open Word, click on Export as RTF/Open with MS Word. e) Save As... to your hard drive and then PRINT.
    2. Note cards: a) Open Caste system list in NoodleTools. b) Click Notecards at top of page. c) Click Print All. d) Choose Half page and Print. Then click Open File. e) Open as Word. f) Save as... to your hard drive and Print. Put these behind your Works Cited page.
  4. Your journal will be word processed (so your teachers can read it!) and include your name, teacher's name, and section at the top. Staple pages together.
  5. Due date: Tuesday, Nov. 4, at beginning of class.
  6. After submitting your final journal to your teacher, you will respond thoughtfully to the following questions: In what ways do we have a caste or class system in America? How would you label the classes? In what settings and ways do you interact with people who are not of the same class as yourself? And finally, how can we as individuals help to address some of the problems that arise in a class-based society? This response is due ___.
